This afternoon was full of music and fun!
From the Butterfly class, we heard the sound of pianicas! Apparently it was the first time for the younger kids in the Butterfly to try and play the pianica. First they started by learning do, re, mi, etc. Then they played a traditional Japanese song.
I have never played the pianica before, but it looks like fun!
While the Butterfly class was enjoying their musical instruments, the Caterpillar kids were receiving a rhythm lesson from Michiko-sensei! Michiko-sensei is so good at the piano, and knows so many songs! The kids had to listen to the tempo and rhythm of each song to know how fast to walk or dance.
Michiko-sensei also told us a story about a raccoon that transformed into a cute girl! Then the kids used origami leaves to transform into many different animals. They were so cute!
See you all tomorrow!
