Chika♪

This afternoon Caterpillar class had their English lesson. This month's topic is Halloween, after learning four new words last week (witch, spider, ghost and bat) we started today's lesson by recapping these words, and then proceeded to learn four new spooky words, vampire, mummy, zombie and dinosaur. Now that we had learnt all 8 words, we played a simple game to test the students' knowledge and reinforce the vocabulary. With three flashcards to look at, the teacher would say a word, and the children would roll the ball into the stated word. After having some fun playing that game, we ended the lesson by acting out each of the different Halloween creatures (class particularly enjoyed being zombies)!

Meanwhile, Butterfly class were enjoying another aspect of this Autumn month. After collecting leaves yesterday today they tried some colouring. But, to capture the essence of autumn into their colours they placed the leaves under the paper before colouring over them, resulting in the texture of the leaf being replicated in the colouring. Many of the students then adorned their pieces with some of their own crayon drawings to express their own ideas.
