ゆーきやこんこん♬

今日は朝から元気いっぱいの子ども達!
昨日少しだけ降った雪がとても嬉しかったようで、「あのね、雪降ったの!!」「先生のとこは降った?」と沢山お話ししてくれました(*^-^*)
子ども達にとっては積もらず残念でしたが、大人にとってはよかったですよね(笑)

そんな真冬の寒さの火曜日☆
午前中キャタピラーさんは卒園式の歌の練習をしました!
簡単な振り付けも教えてもらい、歌に合わせて体を動かします(^^)
歌詞の最後で「Yeah!」と大きな声で言うところでは、先生も子ども達も思い切りジャンプして楽しんでいました♪
どうやらこの歌、キャタピラーさんに大人気の様子!
あっという間に覚えてしまいそうです✨

バタフライさんはMathでたし算を勉強しました(*^-^*)
子ども達の大好きなパソコンを用いたプログラミングの要素を取り入れ、銀行でお金の計算をする真似っこをして楽しくお勉強することができました♪
先生が「お金ってどうやってお財布に入っているか知ってる?」と聞くと、「江戸時代のお金を今の時代のお金に替えてるんだよ!」と何とも面白い意見が(笑)
子どもながらに色々なことを考えているのですね✨

This afternoon Caterpillar class had an English lesson. Everyone was so excited so we started with a warm up song to get everyone ready to learn. This is our last shapes lesson of the month so it was a great chance to review what we have learnt throughout the month. The older children were very confident with the shapes (square, circle, heart, star, rectangle, diamond) so we added another element, colours. We reviewed colours (red, orange, blue, green, yellow, pink) by trying to find who was wearing each colour in the class. Then, we tried to combine colours and shapes to form a longer description, such as a red square. The older children in the class led the way excellently and took to the topic immediately. They did so well and helped encourage the younger children in the class to participate. In groups of two, one child would find the shape, whilst the other child found the colour. They would then combine the two together. I was so impressed with Caterpillar class as they have become much more familiar with shapes and colours.

Butterfly class had a Science lesson this afternoon. It was a very interesting lesson involving sound and how sound travels. The class all had paper cups with a foil base, to see how their voice changed when they spoke into the cup. If they spoke quietly, their voice would only vibrate a little and they did not get much feedback, however if they spoke louder into the cup, they could hear their voice boom. This was a great experiment to help convey noise and how it can travel 169.png The children then decorated their cups 101.png
